Morgan Sutherland is trained as an installation artist and works in a variety of media from code to physical materials. He builds interfaces and environments that probe the nature of human perception, enchant everyday objects and spaces with supernatural qualities, and speculate possible futures.
He completed a degree in Computation Arts at Concordia University. He worked throughout his degree as a research assistant in the Topological Media Lab.
He has exhibited solo works at the Canadian Center for Architecture and collaborative works in Montreal at Art Mur Gallery, Redbird Gallery, Eastern Bloc, Galleri Monopoli, and the FOFA gallery, in New York at Galapagos Art Space, Poisson Rouge and Roulette, in Philadelphia at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, in Shanghai at the Shanghai eArts festival, and in Palo Alto at Stanford University.
